Executive Director
Dr. Albert A. Bragg Jr.
Albert A. Bragg, Jr., Ph.D. became Executive Director of Alpha Homes Inc. in September of 2021. Dr. Bragg is a life-long resident of Akron, Ohio, and a graduate of John R. Buchtel High School. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Administration degrees, from the University of Akron, and his Ph.D., in Urban Studies/Public Affairs, from Cleveland State University. Dr. Bragg’s Doctoral studies focused on sustainability and public policy; he successfully demonstrated that housing organizations can reduce electricity costs through a combination of education and economic incentives. Dr. Bragg was a United States Army Transportation Officer and served the citizens of Akron as the Fire Prevention Bureau Manager. Currently, Dr. Bragg is a member of the Ohio Housing Commission and the Summit County Public Defender Commission.
Deputy Executive Director / COO - Human Resources
Sherry Meddley
Sherry Meddley serves as the Deputy Executive Director / Human Resources with Alpha Phi Alpha Homes, Inc. Sherry is a passionate and results-oriented HR professional with over 30 years of experience in customer service, recruitment, employee relations, talent development, and a strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Proven ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
She has an MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management, BA in Business Management, and an AA in Business Administration. Her certifications include a Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), a Certified Member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), and a Certified Notary Public for the State of Ohio. As a local business owner, she takes pride in the community that she serves and has been instrumental in assisting others to exceed expectations.

Terry Foster
Terry Foster is the Chief Operating Officer at Alpha Phi Alpha Homes, Inc., focusing on providing high-quality housing and services for residents. His professional background includes more than three decades at the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority and the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority where he served in several managerial positions developing and implementing strategies to consistently attain high-performance ratings under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Key Performance Indicators.
Terry is a 2019 graduate of the Cleveland State University’s Maxine Goodman Levin College of Public Affairs Leadership Academy program. The Leadership Academy is the premier public sector leadership development program in the region. The program is designed to encompass topics in leadership as well as personal and organizational development and has over 600 graduates representing major governmental and nonprofit organizations throughout northeast Ohio. which cultivates professional growth and leadership excellence, raises community consciousness, advances communication and organizational skills, Human Resource Development, and team building.
He holds the following certifications: Manager of Maintenance (NAHRO 1998); Site Based Budgeting Specialist (NAHRO 2000); Public Housing Management Certification (Nan Mckay2007); HCV Housing Quality Standards Specialist (Nan McKay 2008).

Heather Fry
Heather Fry comes to Alpha Phi Alpha Homes with over 20 years of experience in Property Management. She has received her Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), and Blended Occupancy Specialist (BOS) certification from the National Center for Housing Management (NCHM), her Certified Property Manager certification from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and a Public Housing Manger certification from Nan McKay. Heather received her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Walsh University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a member of Sigma Beta Delta National Honor Society. She also holds two Associate Degrees from Stark State College where she maintained Dean’s list and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society.
Director of Supportive Services
Vonda Traylor
Vonda Traylor is the Director of Supportive Service. She is responsible for the supervision of the Service Coordinators located at six various Alpha Homes properties throughout Northeast Ohio and Chicago. Vonda is also responsible for management of the more than $300 thousand in HUD Service Coordinator Multifamily Grants and oversees funding and staff for the Nutrition Program, providing over 1,700 congregate meals per month. Vonda maintains relationships with various donors and stakeholders from Ohio Erie and Canal to Direction Home and the Akron-Canton Food Bank among others.
Prior to joining Alpha Homes, she worked at Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority as a Case Manager and Service Coordinator for the Family Self Sufficiency program for several years in addition to Summit County Job and Family Services and Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority.
Vonda has a master’s degree in Public Administration and is a Licensed Social Worker with years of affordable housing experience with a focus on resident support and services. A believer in quality housing for all and mobilizing community partnerships to increase others quality of life, autonomy, and self-sufficiency.
Comptroller
Donald Trigg
Don Trigg joined Alpha Phi Alpha Homes, Inc. as an Accountant February 2007, he now serves as the Controller with Alpha Phi Alpha Homes, Inc. since January 2016, his responsibilities include supervising the accounting department, generating reports for the board, assisting in all areas in accounting, accounts payable, account receivables, general ledger, and banking. He has been working in accounting for over 10 years. Don has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The University of Akron. He was stationed overseas in the U.S. Army for 2 years and served for a combined 4 years.

Daryl Brown
Daryl Brown joined Alpha Homes Inc. as the Director of Human Resources October of 2021, his responsibilities include recruitment, retention, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training and development, and risk management. He spent most of his career with Walmart earning multiple honors including District and Regional Manager awards and piloting roles such as Area Manager and Regional Health & Wellness HR roles supporting and guiding up to 22,000 employees. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources from Franklin University, is a Dual Licensed Dispensing Optician in the state of Ohio, and is a proud graduate of John R. Buchtel High School. He’s a member of the professional association, Society for Human Resource Management(SHRM) and graduate of Diversity on Board by way of Leadership Akron. Daryl’s focus is people development and providing the best outcomes for the Alpha Homes organization.

Lewis W. Adkins, Jr., Esq.
Lewis leads a large and diverse team of attorneys and lobbyists in the public law arena as Practice Group Manager at Roetzel and as President of Roetzel Consulting Solutions. His team represents our clients' interests before state legislatures, administrative agencies, and executive branches of state governments in providing legal and political solutions to important issues. Lewis also oversees Roetzel's Public Finance team.
Lewis focuses his practice on public law. He serves as lead counsel to numerous large, public and private entities throughout Ohio and Washington, D.C. He has also acted as lead counsel for several multi-million dollar development projects. His clients include public and private entities, as well as diversified energy companies, governmental entities, housing authorities, and nonprofit organizations. Additionally, Lewis previously served as General Counsel to Summit County, Ohio.

Diana M. Feitl
Diana focuses her practice on all aspects of public law, including government relations, litigation, education law, employment, regulatory, and compliance matters. As part of her practice, she counsels small and large companies, government organizations, and nonprofit entities on legislative and legal matters in a diverse range of industries. She also has experience in all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
Before attending law school, Diana worked in Washington, D.C. for a member of Congress where she staffed key committees including the House Committee on Rules, the Judiciary Committee, and the Energy and Commerce Committee. She also worked at a government relations firm in Washington, D.C. where she represented clients before Congress and the Executive Branch on a variety of federal issues, including those related to health care, education, and transportation.

Jason Dodson
Jason’s practice is focused on advising public, for-profit and non-profit clients as they encounter a myriad of legal, regulatory and strategic issues. Jason is well-versed in public law, including public finance, public-private partnerships, compliance, legislative matters, public labor and employment law, governmental relations and navigating local, state and federal government administrations. He also focuses his practice on assisting both public and private parties in economic development and real estate development projects, bringing an in-depth knowledge of incentives, development finance, development structures, real estate matters, land use and zoning. Jason also advises corporate entities and small businesses on real estate, leasing, commercial transactions and governance needs.
As a Director of Roetzel Consulting Solutions, Jason focuses on providing comprehensive solutions to both public and private clients alike, including governmental relations, business development, communications and crisis management. He understands that most complex matters involve strategic, practical and political considerations, and he assists his clients in balancing these dynamics during their decision-making process. Jason’s experience in local and state government and politics enable him to provide unique and valuable insight to obtain his client’s desired outcome.
Prior to joining Roetzel and Andress, Jason served as Chief of Staff to two County Executives in Summit County, Ohio over an 11-year period.Immediately prior to serving as Chief of Staff, Jason served as Assistant Director of Law for Summit County.He also represented public, for-profit and non-profit clients before joining the Summit County Executive’s Office.
