The Alpha Center
Dedication and Open House
On June 23, 2006 the new
headquarters of Alpha Phi Alpha
Homes, Inc., The Alpha Center
was dedicated and an open house
held to celebrate the occasion.
The Alpha Center at
662 Wolf Ledges Parkway,
located on the Southwest corner
of Wolf Ledges Parkway and
West Thornton Street in Akron, Ohio,
is the corporate offices of the
Alpha Phi Alpha Homes and the
Eta Tau Lambda Chapter
(Akron's Alumni Chapter) of
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
The facility, constructed in 1969
and recently remodeled, has
approximately 15,500 square feet
of space and will also be used for
community ventures including
Scholarship programs, Boy Scouts
and Project Alpha initiatives.
Rebirth
of
Channelwood Village

In summer 2003 Alpha
Phi Alpha homes began
work on rebuilding the
beatuiful Channelwood
Village in Summit
County.
The site consists of
26 buildings with 274
separate apartments.
The Village is being
renovated inside and
out between now and
August 2005.
